The program is intended to attract international students who have graduated from the country’s higher education institutions and wish to settle in Saskatchewan province. The program aims to select students with at least 6 months in the province as skilled employees.

Eligibility Requirements for SINP Student Stream

  • You must graduate from a post-graduate institute based in Canada with a certificate, diploma, or degree.
  • You must demonstrate a minimum of 6 months (780 hours) of paid employment in Saskatchewan. You must produce a letter from your institution if you have a graduate fellowship.
  • You must have a valid post-graduate work permit or Open Work Permit issued under Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
  • You must have a job offer from a Saskatchewan company for this program. This offer of employment must be for a permanent, full-time position in your field of study.
    • National Occupational Classification (NOC) Skill TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3;
    • A designated trade occupation: NOC Codes starting with 72, 73, 82, 92, 632, or 633; or
    • Employment in the field of your education requires post-secondary education.
    • You must produce a valid SINP Job Approval Letter. Your employer must be registered with the SINP.
    • You must demonstrate a language score of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 4 if your employment is in a designated trade occupation NOC TEER level 4 or 5.

  4. Federal Application for Permanent Residence:
    • You can file a federal application for Canadian permanent residence with the provincial nomination.
    • You must submit the permanent residency application within six months of receiving the provincial nomination.
  5. Application Processing:
    • The final application will be paper-based and must be sent to the appropriate application centre.
    • The processing time for the application is generally 18 months.
