  • You must show adequate settlement funds and financial assets for residing in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Language Proficiency:

You must furnish legitimate proof of English or French proficiency that any of the following testing organisations should corroborate:

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) for English; or
  • Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) for English; or
  • Test d’Evaluation de Français (TEF) for French.

  1. Submit a Complete Application: You need to submit a complete application.
  2. Pay the Application Fees: You must pay the application fees of $250 CAD.
  3. Provincial Nomination: You will get a provincial nomination from Newfoundland and Labrador, if you succeed.
  4. Federal Application for Permanent Residence: You will have 6 months to put in a federal application for permanent residence in Canada, upon nomination.
  5. Submit the Application for Permanent Residence: You need to submit the application for permanent residence in a paper-based format by mail to the designated application centre.
