The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required for an Invitation to Apply (ITA) was 430, 5 points fewer than the last draw held on .
The first draw for transportation candidates, draw #264, was held on September 20, 2023. It issued 1,000 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for candidates who scored a minimum CRS of 435. After that second draw held on December 20, 2023, with 670 ITAs issued and same CRS cut-off score.

To participate in this lottery, individuals need to meet the requirements for one of the Express Entry programs. Canada’s Immigration Minister, Sean Fraser, recently announced the introduction of specific categories for category-based selection in the country’s immigration system. These categories were established through the passing of Bill C-19 in the Canadian parliament last June. The chosen categories for category-based selection are as follows:

- Healthcare Occupations
- Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) occupations
- Skilled Trade occupations
- Transport occupations (including Truck Drivers)
- Agriculture and agri-food occupations
