Eligibility Requirements for PEI PNP Skilled Worker Outside Canada

• Age: You should be between 18 and 59 years old.
• Express Entry Profile: You may not have an Express Entry Profile.
• Connection to the Province of PEI: You may not have a connection to the Province of PEI.
• Job Offer: You should have a permanent job offer from a PEI-based employer. Your position should be per the National Occupational Classification (NOC) TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3. Your employer (who has made the job offer) should have had the job offer approved via a contract with the PEI Immigration office.
• Work Experience: You must have at least 2 years of permanent, full-time work experience at NOC TEER 0, 1, 2 or 3. This experience must be full-time and should have been acquired in the past 5 years.
• Education: You should have completed a 2-year post-secondary education (diploma or degree).
• Intention to Live in PEI: You should demonstrate an intention to live in the province of PEI.
• Investment Requirements: You may not have any investment requirements.

Language Proficiency Requirement

You must demonstrate your language proficiency in English or French by any of the following methods:

• Taking an official language test according to the Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 or,
• Getting a signed language declaration from the PEI-based employer who has made the job offer or,
• Get credible documents that testify to completing your English or French education.

Settlement Funds

You should fulfil all the settlement funds requirements finalized by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Application Process for PEI Skilled Worker Outside Canada

You can apply for the nomination in the Skilled Worker Outside Canada stream of PEI PNP if you fulfill all the eligibility requirements. The application procedure is given below:

• Step 1 – Submit Your Profile: Submit your profile to the pool of PEI.
• Step 2 – Ranking: You will be ranked against the other candidates in the pool based on the PEI Labour Impact Category Ranking System.
• Step 3 – Invitation to Apply: If you are placed among the top-ranked candidates, you will be invited to submit a complete application to the stream in one of the category’s periodic draws.
• Step 4 – Provincial Nomination: If you are successful, you will receive a provincial nomination from PEI.
• Step 5 – Apply for Permanent Residence: You must apply for federal permanent residence in Canada within 6 months after receiving the provincial nomination.
• Step 6 – Submit Paper Application: You must submit a paper application for permanent residency in Canada. This application must be mailed to the proper application centre.

Labour Impact Category Ranking System

If you meet all the eligibility requirements for the Skilled Worker Outside Canada stream of PEI PNP, then you should create your profile in the PEI EOI system. Here, you will be awarded up to 100 assessment points based on your:

• Age: Points are awarded based on the candidate’s age at the time of application.
• Language: Points are given for proficiency in English and/or French. Standardized language tests usually determine the level of proficiency.
• Education: Points are awarded based on the highest level of education achieved by the candidate. This could range from high school to PhD levels.
• Work Experience: Points are given for the number of years of work experience, with more points for more years of experience. The experience should be relevant to the job offer in PEI.
• Employment: Points are awarded if the candidate has a job offer in PEI. The job offer should be full-time and permanent.
• Adaptability: Points are given for factors that indicate the candidate’s likelihood of successfully settling in PEI. This could include previous work or study experience in Canada, having close relatives in Canada, etc.
