Job Offer Requirements

You must have a valid job offer in Ontario from an employer that meets the following requirements:

  • Full-time and permanent: You must have a job offer with a full-time and permanent position.
  • Eligible Occupation: You must have a job offer in skilled occupation at TEER category 0, 1, 2 or 3 of NOC.
  • Low wage level: The remuneration of the job must be equal to or higher than the low wage level for the occupation concerning the Ontario region where you opted to work.
  • The position is urgently necessary to the employer’s business: Your job offer must be in the position required to meet the ongoing domain of the employer’s business activities.
  • Work-based in Ontario: The workplace of your job offer must primarily be in Ontario.

Eligibility Criteria

Along with the specific features of the job offer for the position, you must fulfil the following eligibility criteria:

  • Expression of Interest Invitation to Apply: You must receive an invitation to apply and complete the application procedure within the specified time limit with all the necessary qualifications for the position.
  • Education: If you study full-time, you must have a degree or diploma that takes at least 2 years to complete. A diploma or certificate that takes at least 1 year to complete will be considered, but you must have finished a previously completed degree as a part of your admission process.
  • Valid Licence or Other Authorisation: You must possess a valid licence or authorization from the distinguished regulatory body in Ontario if the job offer requires it mandatorily.
  • Intention to Live in Ontario: You must have a clear intention to reside in Ontario that validates the requirements for application.
  • Application Period: You must submit your educational credentials within TWO years of your OINP application submission date.

Employer Requirements

  • Business Activity: The employer must have engaged in current business activities for at least three years before submitting your application.
  • Gross Annual Revenue: The employer must have accrued a gross annual revenue that meets the most recently completed fiscal year requirement.
  • Full-Time Employees: The employer must have at least THREE or FIVE full-time employees working at the location at the time of application submission.
  • Employer Form: You must have an ‘Employer Form’ approved by the employer to validate the position.

  • Preparation: You can apply for the OINP Employer Job Offer – International Students anytime. Ensure that your documents, including your work permit, language proficiency test results, etc., remain valid for the application process.
  • Stage 1 – Expression of Interest: Register for expression of interest. Upon successful registration, you will receive an invitation to apply.
  • Stage 2 – Application Submission: After receiving the invitation, you can apply with all the necessary documents and meet the eligibility criteria.
  • Stage 3 – Provincial Nomination: Upon successful application, you will receive a formal provincial nomination. This may take between 30 to 150 days.
  • Stage 4 – Permanent Residence Application: Apply to the federal government through IRCC for permanent residence.
